An introduction to perioperative clinical nursing practice encompassing preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative nursing. Provides an understanding of perioperative nursing care concepts and various theoretical models which apply and direct perioperative nursing practice. Encourages the development of a perioperative nurse who is able to provide patient-centered care in a collaborative manner during anesthesia, surgery and recovery.
