Introduction to Irish Tin Whistle

Catalog description

Learn to play Irish music on the tin whistle. Students learn to read music, recognize musical rhythms, and play the tin whistle. The main objective of this course is to invite students to find their voices within a living musical tradition and to have fun while doing so. Although intended for beginners, all levels are welcome and instruction is tailored to meet each student’s learning objectives. Students need to purchase a Tin Whistle in the key of D. Does not count towards the Music minor ensemble requirements.
