Catalog description

Introductory course in statistics, which is the field of study concerned with the collection, analysis and interpretation of uncertainty in data. Topics include summary statistics, basic probability, commonly used distributions, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing. In addition, introductory concepts of engineering economy and cash flow diagrams will be covered in the first few weeks of the course to prepare students for the FE exam.
