Catalog description

Introduces the theory of "walkscaping" as an aesthetic practice for exploring the city of Milwaukee and the contributions of Italian immigrants to its development. Includes city tours where students meet and learn from community leaders. Designed to aid students in understanding the assimilation process that any immigrant community must go through, the individual's relation to that community and the experiences of different Italian populations in Milwaukee. Taught in English.
