Covers the basics of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), to include mediation, arbitration and mini-trials, in the context of U.S. intellectual property (IP) disputes, to include the claims and defenses relating to patent, trademark and copyright infringement and trade-secret misappropriation matters. Further covers why ADR is advantageous in resolving IP disputes, culminating in a "hands-on" mediation exercise of a patent or trademark infringement matter by students.
