Catalog description

Examines the collision of two political and economic philosophies within the boundaries of what we view as one country, Germany. Through historical documents, political, sociological and economic texts, literature and film as well as firsthand interviews, reflection and role play, the history of the Wall, its tearing down and the global and individual impact is explored. Topics include identity, class, gender, “colonization,” linguistics and education. Taught in English. Knowledge of German language is not required.
