Catalog description
Combining reading and writing, students explore the genre of short story in Germany following WWII as a communication of human experience in historical and cultural context. Students experience discussions of interpretive questions, and together arrive at a characterization of a “good interpretation.” Written assignments are designed to develop this ability to produce a sound interpretation. Taught in English. Knowledge of German language is not required.
