Catalog description

Introduces two critical operations functions within insurance companies – underwriting and claims and will cover mostly Property & Casualty Insurance (including Commercial insurance) and some Life Insurance & Annuities – current processes, technological advances (both current and potential), impact of macroenvironments (e.g., climate change), and regulatory considerations. Build technical skills based on a rubric co-created with industry partners. Guest lecturers with deep industry knowledge will compliment textbook learnings. Focus on specific CPCU designation may be part of this course.
