Catalog description

Encompasses practical and clinical correlations of foundational restorative dentistry. Emphasis is placed on cariology, dental public health and evidence-based dentistry. Students are also introduced to basic concepts in diagnosis, and treatment planning for dentistry. Didactic lectures cover the biologic basis of operative dentistry, classification, and measurement of dental caries, cariology and epidemiology. The laboratory portion emphasizes the introduction to operative armamentarium, rubber dam application, rotary and hand instruments for hand skill development in the field of operative dentistry.
