Gives instruction on how to use GIS analytical tools to expand and enhance the understanding of spatially referenced phenomena. Examines foundational concepts behind Geographic Information Science (GIScience) to properly use GIS analytical tools. Incorporates diverse learning activities including lectures, PowerPoint presentations, instructor-led skills training and student practice sessions.
