Catalog description

Survey of theoretical and empirical literature on the role that neighborhood characteristics play in crime. Examines the utility of crime prevention strategies for reducing neighborhood crime rates. Develops the skills necessary to investigate Milwaukee neighborhood crime patterns. Students create and deliver professional presentations and technical reports.
