Overview and analysis of sexual offenses in the United States, including socio-legal, public and political approaches. Interpersonal, situational and institutional factors affect how we think about sexual violence and respond to it within systems of law, justice, health and social services. Types of violence and the impact on sex offenders, families, communities and victims/survivors are addressed.
