Catalog description

Introduction to the science of bioinformatics and computer algorithms for computer science and bioinformatics majors. Exposure to fundamental algorithmic concepts such as randomized algorithms, graph algorithms, brute force algorithms, dynamic programming and combinatorial algorithms. Formulate important biological problems as computational problems and develop algorithms to solve such problems efficiently. No formal biology background required. Algorithmic techniques can be used for different application domains in computer science, mathematics, and relevant fields.
