Scientific Pedagogy and Communication Seminar

Catalog description

Builds the skills needed to become excellent instructors, classroom researchers, and/or effective communicators of science. Develops pedagogical and communication skills through exploration of evidence-based theories of learning and methods of instructional delivery. Provides instruction on how to facilitate engaged learning with future students, patients, and other audiences. Discusses the scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL) in the health sciences and develops a foundation for implementing classroom research and assessment in future careers.
