Hidden Brain: How Unseen Processes Shape Your Reality
Marquette University · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
Most of what your brain does, you’re unaware of. Explore the covert functions of the human brain; those operating without conscious input yet shape how we behave and decide. Through human experiments and philosophical discussions, investigate the brain's architecture: how unconscious mechanisms lead to perception, bias, moral judgment, and the sense of self. Intended for students across disciplines (including non-science majors), especially those curious about neuroscience, perception, decision making, and free will.
