Catalog description
This course builds on ideas introduced in Calculus I (MAT 230) and Calculus II (MAT 231) in the context of multivariable functions and 3D space. Such topics include multivariable limits, partial derivatives, directional derivatives and the gradient, optimization techniques, and iterated integrals. Additional topics include the study of vectors, line and plane equations, parametrization, integration using polar, cylindrical, and spherical coordinates, and vector calculus ideas such as vector fields, divergence, curl, Green's Theorem, Stokes' Theorem, and the Divergence Theorem.
