Catalog description

Future educators will explore themes of Catholic Social Teaching as they relate to elementary and secondary education through in-class activities, interactive lectures, and related clinical service-learning experiences with educational and local youth-serving organizations. Future educators will build teacher knowledge of students and practice professionalism and ethical behavior. Themes to be explored within this course include Life and Dignity of the Human Person; Call to Family, Community, and Participation; Rights and Responsibilities; and Solidarity.
