Clinical Entrustment I

Clinical Entrustment I is a full-time, 10-week clinical experience that engages learners in physical therapy practice under the supervision of clinical faculty. Learners apply foundational knowledge, skills, and behaviors to develop trustworthiness of the 19 Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) with decreasing need for supervision. Learners contribute to physical therapy practice, such as patient examination, plan of care development, and implementation of interventions. Emphasis is placed on safe and ethical practice, effective communication, professional behaviors, and integration of clinical decision making into physical therapy management.
