Systems-Based Practice III is the third in a four-course series in which DPT learners examine the structures, policies, and processes that shape physical therapy practice within the broader healthcare system. Learners analyze the interconnected nature of health policy, reimbursement structures, and regulatory frameworks while developing competencies in practice management, systems-based practice, and communication. Emphasis is placed on quality improvement, healthcare technology integration, and operational management principles, while addressing critical issues of health equity and healthcare disparities to prepare learners for accountable, collaborative participation in contemporary healthcare environments.
