Scholarly Project II
Marian University-Ancilla · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Scholarly Project II is the second course in a six-course series where small groups of learners work collaboratively with a faculty mentor to carry out an evidence-informed scholarly project. During this course, learners engage in scholarly inquiry, proposal completion, and project implementation. Working in groups, learners synthesize evidence to inform methodological design, draft and refine both the introduction/background and method sections, and submit proposals for IRB review, when applicable. Learners provide and receive constructive feedback, actively engage in reflective self and peer assessment, and prepare for initial implementation of their projects, such as beginning data collection.
