Catalog description

Scholarly Project I is the first course in a six-course series where small groups of learners work collaboratively with a faculty mentor to carry out an evidence-informed scholarly project. During this course, learners engage in scholarly inquiry and proposal development. Working in groups, learners synthesize evidence, identify gaps in the literature, and frame scholarly questions. Emphasis is placed on writing and refining the introduction/ background section of a scholarly proposal, incorporating peer and faculty feedback, and engaging in reflective self and peer assessment.
