Gender and Sexuality in Counseling

Catalog description

This course is an exploration of human sexuality and gender, covering physical, intrapsychic, interpersonal, and cultural aspects of the spectrum of sexuality. Students will engage in scientific investigation Broad course objectives include familiarizing students with aspects of human sexuality that are relevant to their work as clinicians, educators, and researchers, increasing comfort with discussion of sexuality-related concerns in psychotherapy, and developing psychotherapy skills for addressing sex and sexuality.
