Environmental Chemistry

Catalog description

This course will introduce environmental principles, grounded in environmental literature with the application of these concepts to modern society through oral and written discussion. You will also understand the current events and issues in both theory and practical approaches to a sustainable planet. You will be introduced to several environmental problems as case studies. It is a traditional face to face on campus course. This course is divided into four major parts that reflects the most pressing issues in Environmental Chemistry today, including Atmospheric Chemistry and Air Pollution; Climate Change and Energy; Water Chemistry and Water Pollution; Waste, Soil, and Sediment. Three lecture hours and three lab hours per week.
