Catalog description

This laboratory course emphasizes unit operations and processes that illustrate the principles of mass, momentum, and energy transport. The projects may involve the design and analysis of unit operations and/or processes, including distillation, absorption, liquid-liquid extraction, adsorption, chemical reactors etc. The course includes essential laboratory practices, concentrating on data collection, record keeping, interpretation, analysis, and instrumentation. Students are required to work effectively in teams, perform background research, and library work to complete the deliverables.
