Catalog description

This course will explore the theoretical origins and biological principles that underlie common methodologies in laboratory research and exposes students to practical learning opportunities in current methodologies and data analysis. In addition, students will develop basic research skills, expand written and oral scientific communication, and engage with principles of responsible conduct of research, including laboratory safety, ethical research practices, and professional standards in the molecular life sciences. Four hours of combined lecture and hands-on learning per week.
