Catalog description

Learners will gain advanced knowledge and practical skills in neurological rehabilitation designed for physical therapist assistants. They deepen their understanding of neurological function and participate in hands-on experiences assisting individuals with neurologic disorders across the lifespan. Learners will support treatment planning, apply current therapeutic approaches, and promote safe, effective care for individuals with neurological impairments. Emphasis is placed on integrating intervention techniques, health promotion strategies, and understanding how social determinants of health impact patient outcomes in a variety of clinical settings. Two and a half lecture hours and five lab hours per week.
