Clinical Experience

Catalog description

This four-week, full-time clinical experience is the learner's first opportunity to apply foundational PTA knowledge in a program-affiliated outpatient facility. Under close supervision by a licensed clinical instructor, learners assist with patient care, practice basic interventions, and documentation. The focus is on developing effective communication, understanding clinical workflows, upholding professionalism, and building habits for lifelong learning. Learners are introduced to the role of the physical therapist assistant within the healthcare team and begin to participate in routine clinical responsibilities.
