Path & Pharm for the PTA

Catalog description

Learners will examine pathophysiological processes across major body systems, including etiology, system interactions, disease mechanisms, clinical manifestations, diagnostics, clinical data, and pharmacology. Learners will apply foundational knowledge to support safe, effective interventions. Learners contribute to clinical decision-making in partnership with the supervising physical therapist and interprofessional team to promote patient-centered care. Two lecture hours and two lab hours per week.
