Catalog description

This course introduces physical therapist assistant (PTA) students to the principles of research methods, evidence-based practice, and basic statistics in health care. Students will learn how to formulate clinical questions, identify and evaluate sources of evidence, and interpret research ?ndings using introductory concepts in descriptive and inferential statistics. Emphasis is placed on applying evidence to clinical decision-making within the PTA scope of practice.
