Catalog description

This course is an introduction to Normative Ethics with a focus on issues regarding justice and moral obligation. Approaches discussed and criticized include Natural Law, Utilitarianism, Libertarianism, Liberal Egalitarianism, and Virtue Theory. Using case studies an emphasis is placed on the implications of each position for the social obligations of professionals.
