Catalog description

The OTD capstone project is the culminating scholarly work developed during the capstone experience. It involves designing, implementing, and evaluating a project that addresses a gap in knowledge, practice, or service within occupational therapy. Students integrate evidence-based practice, research, and advanced professional skills to produce tangible outcomes, such as a program plan, policy proposal, or research manuscript. The project emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership while contributing to the profession's evidence base. It serves as a demonstration of doctoral-level competency and readiness for advanced practice or scholarly dissemination.
