Capstone Exploration

Catalog description

This introductory course prepares occupational therapy doctoral students for the 14-week capstone experience. Students explore capstone categories such as clinical skills, administration, program development, policy, advocacy, and leadership while examining exemplar projects and ACOTE standards. The course emphasizes self-assessment of professional interests and advanced competencies to guide individualized project selection. Students begin developing potential capstone ideas and articulating how their projects will integrate doctoral-level knowledge beyond entry-level practice.
