Catalog description
This course equips MOT students with foundational knowledge of instructional design, including needs assessment, development of measurable learning objectives, content organization, and evaluation methods specific to occupational therapy education. Students will apply teaching and learning theories, design engaging educational materials, and implement assessment strategies to evaluate learning outcomes and presentation effectiveness. Emphasis is placed on delivering professional presentations with effective communication and audience engagement, as well as reflecting on teaching performance to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Collaborative consultation skills are also developed to address educational and clinical challenges within interprofessional and intraprofessional contexts.
