Catalog description

This course prepares occupational therapy students to effectively navigate and integrate digital technologies and community resources to enhance client care. Students will explore electronic documentation systems, telehealth models, virtual environments, and the legal and ethical considerations of technology use in practice. The course also emphasizes knowledge of community- based resources, referral processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration to address diverse client needs and improve participation. Additionally, students will develop skills in health literacy, adult learning principles, and designing educational interventions tailored to varied populations and community contexts.
