Catalog description

This course explores the use of physical agent modalities and interventions for the upper extremity, emphasizing biomechanical principles and evidence-based practice. Students develop skills through hands-on labs, fabrication workshops, and case-based learning. Topics include thermal and electrotherapeutic modalities, mechanical devices, orthotic selection and fabrication, and prosthetic training. The course prepares students to make clinical decisions and plan interventions that enhance functional outcomes and occupational performance.
