Catalog description
This faculty-led research course guides occupational therapy graduate students through synthesizing evidence and writing a comprehensive literature review. Working in small groups, students analyze prior findings, identify theoretical frameworks, and develop a detailed research plan that includes methodology, sampling, data collection, and ethical considerations. The course emphasizes aligning research design with identified gaps and creating well-defined research questions. Students will advance skills in academic writing, critical appraisal, and research planning. This experiential learning experience deepens students' scholarly abilities and prepares them for study implementation as part of a multi- semester inquiry sequence.
