Catalog description

This faculty-led research course gives occupational therapy graduate students hands-on experience in the early stages of scholarly inquiry. Working in small groups, students conduct comprehensive literature searches on topics relevant to occupational therapy, identify gaps in knowledge, and critically evaluate research methodologies. The course emphasizes developing well-formulated research questions and building skills in database searching, citation management, and academic writing. Through systematic examination of current evidence, students contribute to an ongoing faculty-led research project.
