Catalog description

This course provides a foundational understanding of quantitative and qualitative data analysis for occupational therapy research and practice. Students learn key statistical concepts, data types, and analytical methods, as well as qualitative approaches such as thematic and content analysis to support clinical decision-making. They also evaluate research designs, assess methodological rigor, and interpret findings for relevance and reliability. Through literature review and data interpretation activities, students develop evidence-based reasoning skills and learn to integrate research outcomes into client- centered care.
