Catalog description

This course provides foundational knowledge and skills for evaluating, applying, and ethically conducting research in occupational therapy. Students explore a range of research designs, the hierarchy of evidence, and methods for locating and appraising high-quality studies to support evidence-based, client-centered care. The course also builds competency in assessing validity, relevance, and clinical applicability of research. In addition, students gain a strong foundation in research ethics, including informed consent, IRB procedures, and confidentiality.
