This course introduces foundational skills for adult occupational therapy practice, focusing on safety, mobility, and psychosocial considerations. Students gain hands-on experience with vital sign monitoring, safe transfers, therapeutic exercise, and documentation. The course covers body mechanics, mobility devices, behavioral factors, and interprofessional collaboration. Students apply clinical reasoning to promote client safety, participation, and effective team-based care.
