Level II Fieldwork A

Level II Fieldwork A provides students with an 8-week full-time, supervised fieldwork experience designed to integrate and apply knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors developed throughout the OTA curriculum. Under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist or an occupational therapy assistant, students participate in the occupational therapy process with clients that are experiencing occupational disruption (e.g. physical, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions). This experience emphasizes ethical practice, therapeutic use of self, clinical reasoning, and interprofessional collaboration as students assume increased responsibility for client care within facility-based and/or community settings.
