Catalog description

This Level I Fieldwork Experience provides students with supervised, hands-on practice implementing basic ADL interventions across client populations, with a focus on psychosocial, emotional, and motivational factors that influence participation. Students apply foundational OT knowledge and clinical reasoning to support engagement, self-care, functional mobility, and daily routines while considering social, cultural, and contextual influences. Emphasis is placed on observing and assisting with interventions, documenting outcomes, adapting tasks, and reflecting on professional behaviors, ethical practice, and the therapeutic use of self.
