Foundations of OT Practice II

Catalog description

This course builds upon foundational concepts introduced in Foundations of OT Practice I, advancing students' understanding of the occupational therapy process. Emphasis is placed on applying theoretical models and frames of reference, and on introducing evidence-based practice concepts to guide clinical reasoning and occupation-based practice. Students examine activity and task analysis, explore the development of client-centered intervention plans, and practice goal writing aligned with the occupational profile. The course integrates professional documentation, standards of practice, and ethical reasoning to support evidence-informed decision-making. This course further cultivates professional behaviors and identity formation to complement preparation for level I Fieldwork experiences.
