Catalog description

This course is designed to provide the student with a comprehensive orientation of the practice of anesthesia. The student will gain the necessary knowledge to incorporate safe, basic principles into the delivery of competent anesthesia care to the patients. Through observation and simulation, the student will begin developing generalized clinical skills for basic anesthesia practice. These skills are foundational to nurse anesthesia practice and will serve as the basis for the student’s progression to more advanced anesthesia care.
