Catalog description

Study of literacy strategies to support reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking across disciplines. Emphasis on comprehension of informational text, vocabulary development, and content-area literacy instruction. Students explore diverse print and digital resources to support all learners, including strategies for assessing and differentiating instruction. Includes a minimum 5-hour field experience in a 9th-12th grade classroom to apply reading strategies in content instruction.
