Catalog description
Professional nursing practice topics are explored through the analysis of selected theories and practice models, and examination of the relevance of theory to practice, research, and education in nursing. The behaviors, attitudes, and values necessary for theory- based professional nursing practice in the context of individual, family, and population health are discussed. Students apply critical thinking skills and beginning scholarship through synthesis of information found in assigned readings and the nursing literature.
