Psych of Gender and Human Sex

There are an enormous variety of ways that humans express sexuality within social and cultural contexts and among individuals. The purpose of this course is to explore the different aspects and variations of gender and sexuality in human lives. The psychology of human sexuality is composed of needs for intimacy, identities, and concerns with health and wellbeing. This will include topics such as relationships, gender, sexual orientation, as well as sexual dysfunction and violence. Biological factors, such as anatomical details and biproducts of sexual engagement (STIs and reproduction) will also be discussed, although they are not the focus of this course.
