Catalog description
This course offers an introduction to the practices and expectations of public relations, both theoretically and in the field. We examine theory and practice, and we consider the history, philosophy and processes of PR, and apply such understandings through experiential learning. Students work as a team as they participate in group projects, creating public relations and marketing materials as an end result. Students will leave the course with branding, social media, writing, and digital public relations packages.
