Catalog description
This seminar course is designed to as a capstone experience in the life sciences. The course will develop critical problem-solving skills through reading and writing in a scientific field of interest. The course focuses on literature searching, reading and understanding journal articles, elements of experimental design, testing a hypothesis, analysis of data, scientific writing, and the use of computers for writing, graphics, and presentation. The course will also allow students to develop career development documents and skills.
