Catalog description
An introductory study of the way economists approach environmental problems. Topics covered include externalities, market failure, public goods, common-pool resources, policy instruments (e.g. taxes, command and control policies, cap and trade, and tradable pollution permits, and cost-benefit analysis. Prerequisites: ECON 203 and MATH 154 (or MATH 185 and MATH 186 ).
